The Americus Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. Their goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.

The Americus Fire Department is proudly operated by volunteers who are committed to serving our community. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter or supporting the department in other ways, they may be reached by the contact information provided below.

The Americus Fire Department welcomes residents to their monthly meeting, held at 6:30 PM, the 1st Wed of the Month, located at the Americus Fire Department.

The Americus Fire Board welcomes residents to their monthly meeting, held at 7:30 PM, the 2nd Wed of the Month, located at the Americus Library.
