Animal Services

The City of Americus does not provide Animal Services at this time. The following resources are dedicated to helping protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in our community.

If you need assistance on any of the following, please call the Lyon County Sheriff's office and they will dispatch animal control, (620) 341-3205. 

• Responding to stray animal complaints
• Investigating dangerous animals
• Impoundments
• Barking dog complaints
